Our Ashram is nestled in the village of Kuthar, a serene place on the hilltop of the Manikoot mountain range (Where Lord Shiva had Meditated) in Rishikesh. The ashram is situated 27Km from Rishikesh towards Neelkanth Mahadev Temple road. Rishikesh is the Yoga Capital of the World, also regarded as one of the holiest places and a home for all saints, sages, and spiritual seekers of all kinds.

The International Society for Spiritual Sciences (ISSS) owns approximately eighty thousand square feet of land within the village of Kuthar. A small portion of this land has a very ancient temple of MAA BHAIRAVI BHAWANI, built by some unknown saints. The locals believe that the deity of this temple is ‘jagruth’ (alive or rather, attentive to the prayers of her devotees). The deity is ‘swayambhu’ which means it emerged from the ground on its own, This ancient small temple directed Guru Dev Swami Manjulanand ji in divine language that you have to build a grand temple of ‘Mata Ji’ here. Due to Blessing of Divine mother, a huge temple was built in Bhana and rituals were also started there. The new temple of ‘Mata Bhairavi Bhavani’ is visible and enriched with other divine powers:

According to legend, the Gurukul(College) of the Pandavas was located on this land during the Mahabharata period. Here Arjuna obtained his world-famous Gandiva bow by doing austerity.

The Gurudev of Gorakhnath Guru Matsyendra Nath had penance here underwater.

Mahavatar Babaji and his many disciples did penance in these mountain ranges.

The ashram temple forms a triangle of power in this holy land. The other two temples are Neelkanth Mahadev and Bhuvaneshwari Devi Mata.

The temple is a ‘Siddhpeeth’ and an axiomatic place for the fulfillment of aspirations.

People who are looking to get away from the constant noise of modern life, attachments, and endless work tasks can find solace here in the ashram located on the beautiful and peaceful hillside of Rishikesh overlooking the holy river Ganges.

At Swami Manjulanand Ashram we have short-term and long-term guests. We also have opportunities for volunteers to stay at the Ashram, receive the boons of nature, and experience divine spirituality under the guidance of Guru Dev, Swami Manjulanand Ji.

Our basic vision for the Ashram

High education, wealth, or physical fitness can neither bring a person self-satisfaction nor stable peace. For this, we have to come towards holistic development. Yoga and meditation increase physical and mental concentration. This gives strength to people to peep into the inner mind and to see the body structure and various organs working in harmony. Physical freshness and mental concentration are achieved just by the practice of various asanas. Lifestyle is affected. With peace comes decency in family and surroundings.Good thoughts are transmitted and there is prosperity in society.

We aim at the holistic development of individuals through various workshops. Which food will be given to Satvic and mostly organic Food be provided.

We will also develop mental health which will increase our emotional and spiritual resilience and enable us to survive situations of pain, despair, and sadness in life. Mental health develops our ability to express our feelings and adapt to the many demands of life. We will strive to develop skills and knowledge to enhance our intellectual potential. Our intellectual capacity helps stimulate our creativity and improve our decision-making abilities.

Our good health is incomplete without being spiritually healthy. Seeking meaning and purpose in life is what makes us spiritual. Spiritual health reflects our personal beliefs and values. There is no set way to achieve good spiritual health. It is a way of looking deep inside ourselves about our understanding of existence. We will give special importance to this topic in our workshops.

The reality is that most people do not understand the importance of good health and even if they do, they are still neglecting it. Whenever we talk about health, our attention remains limited to physical health. We don’t think about the rest of the dimensions. We all need good health. It is not limited to any one particular religion, caste, creed or gender. So we should think seriously about this essential thing. Most of the diseases have their origin in our mind.A person is said to be healthy when his body is healthy and his mind is clear and calm. Some people do not lack material means, yet they may be sad or agitated on a psychological level.

We are doing many activities for masses from Ashram. Few are below-
